What ACR is, and what it is not.
Alliance Capital Reserve (ACR) is a funding agency. Its single job is to take capital that originates in the for-profit world and route it to the organizations doing the work: nonprofit organizations and for-profit agencies alike.
ACR is not a nonprofit, and it does not present itself as one. It exists so that for-profit money and nonprofit money never have to be mixed together to get a project funded. That separation is the point of the agency.

How it works
Three steps, in this order.
Capital comes in
Funding is received from for-profit sources and held as a reserve, apart from the organizations it will eventually support.
